Mindfulness for Children
Adults are not the only people that can experience stress, children can also feel its impact.
Society today means that more children are suffering from the impact of stress, it has also been linked back to pre birth when there has been exposure to adrenalin and cortisol passing through the placenta. As with adults this can take a physical or mental toll on a child.
I can offer workshops, to adults or children, where we can learn to become aware of our own needs. Mindfulness and being present in the now can help to slow down the perception of events, become more aware of the bodies reactions so that there can be a increased awareness of the present and what is happening around us. This allows the “Fight or Flight” response to have time to reset and find a more harmony.
This can also help to improve focus and attention in class and reduce anxiety.
